A Joyful Reunion!
The guests who came with their family
last summer returned to us this Golden Week!
In doing a homestay, it makes us truly
happy when people come back to Sasayama like this🥰
When we went to pick them up at a nearby park in the late afternoon, we saw a familiar family around the parking lot...
As soon as they saw us, the three children happily raised their voices, crying, "It's John!" and "It's Yoko!"😆💕
After getting very excited over our reunion for the first time in a while, we went to buy groceries...
Since they are a family of five, they couldn't all fit into one minicar, so we divided into a boys' group and a girls' group to ride.
After gathering at the supermarket, we
had a brief shopping time.
Since it is a short-term stay this time,
a little shopping was enough.
When we got home, the atmosphere was perfect for the words "Tadaima (I'm home)." The children also took a break in a familiar manner.
Once everyone settled down a bit, we brought out our Lego blocks, and we all played together.
The youngest daughter, who was a little shy last time, was comfortable with us from the very beginning this time and played happily together.
After dinner was over and everyone
finished taking a bath, their family tradition begins.
The couple runs a cafe, and the father brews delicious coffee while the children bring juice and
their favorite sweets, and they hold a tea party surrounding the table. It is a
peaceful, heartwarming, and cozy time.
As we reunited and talked about each other's recent news, we found out that the father is actually going to Africa this summer to visit local coffee plantations!
During that time, the mother will manage the shop while taking care of the children. We were deeply impressed, thinking how admirable and amazing she is.
Please stay safe and learn many things in Africa!
Mother, please also take care of the
house and the shop, while cutting corners moderately so that you won't be too stressed! 😉
We are rooting for both of
you!!
The next day started with taking care of the chickens, and after that, they did strawberry picking at Tabuchi Farm. Wearing cute strawberry hats, everyone was stuffing their mouths with big sweet strawberries.
Chirumyu (Children's Museum), which they went to in the summer, seems to be the children's favorite, so we accompanied them to Chirumyu when the strawberry picking was over.
We parted ways at the entrance, but it was very memorable how the children looked reluctantly at the car as they saw us off, saying, "What? Aren't you coming with us?"
It was a short but very fun for us to have them this time too.
Father, we are already excited to hear your travel stories from Africa!
Please be absolutely sure to travel safely. We are looking forward to the day we can see everyone again🥰🥰🥰
