Happy Reunion!
An old, dear friend of ours whom we hadn't seen in years (maybe even decades?!) finally came to visit us! 🥹✨
She came all the way from Kyushu with her friend—a duo of mature, wonderful ladies making their very first trip to Sasayama! Even though we hadn't met in person, we've always kept in touch via chat and video calls, so it didn't feel like much time had passed at all. Still, actually seeing each other in person brought us so much pure joy!
The duo
consisted of a Japanese friend and a German friend, both of whom are incredibly
special to both my husband and me. Since we've all reached a "mature and
wise" age, our reunion started with everyone checking in on each other's
health. 😂
We
don't do reckless things like we did in our youth anymore, but our time was
packed with endless conversations about family updates, our children, future
plans, and beautiful old memories.
The next day, we headed to our go-to spot, the countryside buffet at "Kuromame no Yakata," and did some sightseeing around the old castle town. In the evening, a friend couple living in Tamba City (our neighboring city) and another mutual friend visiting from another prefecture joined us. Even though it was brief, it felt like a wonderful little reunion! 😆
In the blink of an eye, their 2-night 3-day stay passed by. There was absolutely no need to overthink or put on appearances—it was just that pure, comforting feeling of being able to completely be yourself. 🌷
Thank you so
much for coming! Let's definitely meet again!
Until then, let's stay healthy
and do our best! 🥰
